Lagos discharges Greek, 48 Nigerians from COVID-19 facilities 3

The Lagos State Government says it has discharged 49 more COVID-19 patients who have now tested negative to the contagion, following their treatment at the isolation facilities in Yaba and Onikan.

The Ministry of Health made this known via its verified Twitter handle @LSMOH on Wednesday.

The ministry said the number of discharged patients from the isolation centres in the state was now 187.

It tweeted: “49 #COVID19Lagos patients; 28 females & 21 males including a foreign national – a greek were today discharged from our Isolation facilities at Yaba & Onikan to reunite with the society.

“The patients; 18 from IDH, Yaba & 31 from Onikan Isolation Centre have fully recovered & tested negative to #COVID19 in two consecutive readings. With this, number of patients successfully managed & discharged in Lagos is now 187.”

As it stands, Lagos leads the toll of Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections with 860 of the overall 1,532 cases.

So far, Lagos has discharged 187 patients, while two patients have been evacuated, 16 patients transferred and 19 deaths recorded.
