A Nigerian man has dragged at least 50 people to court over their involvement in the End SARS protest.
The man identified as Kenechukwu Okeke, with the Twitter handle @HumanRightsNG, filed the criminal complaint.
According to him, his properties were destroyed during the riots “instigated and incited” by the 50 “accused persons” and asked that promoters of the End SARS protests be brought to justice.
Most of the 50 names listed in the suit are celebrities, including Aisha Yesufu, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Tuface, Kanu Nwankwo, Davido, Banky W, Uche Jombo, Kiki Mordi, Falz, Yul Edochie, Flavour, Yemi Alade, Peter Okoye, Paul Okoye, Burna Boy, Modupe “Moe” Odele, and others.
The case was instituted on Monday pursuant to sections 88, 109(a), 110(1)(c) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.
