Chelsea’s young star, Callum Hudson-Odoi has finally signed new £100,000-a-week Chelsea deal. The deal will keep him in the club till 2024.
The 18-year-old has finally accepted the club’s most recent offer a five-year contract worth £100,000 a week and is expected to sign before the start of the season.
Hudson-Odoi was locked in a contractual stand-off with Chelsea for much of last season and told director Marina Granovskaia he wanted to leave in January due to disillusionment about a lack of playing time under Maurizio Sarri, but the club held firm and refused to sell despite serious interest from Bayern Munich.
Former Chelsea and England midfielder Lampard, who took charge of the Blues earlier in July, said the academy graduate can be a “huge player” for his team.
“I am not going to say things that are pie in the sky but, with his talent, he can be central to this team, he can be central to England,” the manager said.
“He can show, right here at Chelsea, the team he came through the academy at, that he is going to be a world-class player – because I truly believe that.”
