SV Eintracht Trier 05 of Germany goal-stopper, Armin Olayo has snubbed his country of birth and has decided to represent Nigeria.
He was named in the Germany U16 team for a winter training camp in Spain earlier this year and was included in the standby list for a DFB screening tournament in Duisburg in May 2019.
However, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, did not have to fight before he opted to play for Nigeria’s youth teams.
According to report, the youngster already has a Nigerian passport ahead of a possible trip to Nigeria to join the Golden Eaglets.
Olayo, a goalkeeper, is on the radar of the Nigeria U17 coaches, who are searching for players to beef up the squad before the resumption of camping for the U17 World Cup.
