French outlet RMC have reported that Barcelona have no plans to sell Ousmane Dembele currently.
The Frenchman is out injured again which has brought fresh speculation over his future, but there are no plans for him to go and Barca are still relying on the youngster.
Barcelona are reportedly in negotiations with Palmeiras for midfielder Matheus Fernandes and have made the Brazilian club an initial offer of €6m. The deal could be complicated because former club Botafogo hold some of his rights and need to approve the transfer.
Ernesto Valverde has offered his thoughts on the new Super Cup format featuring four teams in Saudi Arabia. He said: “It seemed to me that it was fine before, but it has changed. We will value it when it happens, but the games are attractive to the public as it creates more expectation. If they gave me a choice I’d prefer the previous format, but it’s the federation who decides.”
The Spanish Super Cup will see goal-line technology used for the first time in Spanish football. There will be a total of 14 cameras used to scan whether the ball has crossed in the line, with the referee alerted via a vibration on his watch which displays the word “gol.”
