War: Explosion rocks Iran’s major airport

Huge explosion has hit major Tehran’s airport as Israeli military struck regime infrastructure in Iran.

According to BBC, this appears to be a large attack on one of Tehran’s main commercial airports.

It said that burning planes and large plumes of smoke were visible at the Mehrabad airport – Iran’s busiest airport and main domestic hub.

Satellite imagery taken on Friday showed that multiple aircraft were at the airport, with Iranian state media also reporting that some parts of the airport have been targeted.

This is coming after the Israeli military said it was launching a broad-scale new wave of strikes in the Islamic Republic.

DAILY POST had reported that Israeli military previously targeted the airport on March 4, saying its strikes dismantled defence and detection systems that were a threat to the Israeli Air Force, which included the helicopter manufacturing section of the airport.
