Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has been appointed as a United Nations’ Development Goodwill Ambassador.
UNDP Sweden’s Twitter account made the announcement on the 23rd of September.
In the video, UNDP Administrator, Achim Steiner announced Yemi Alade’s appointment.
Yemi Alade in the video said as an ambassador she would do her best to lend her voice to help people who are suffering the most from the Socio-economic impact of the COVID19.
The ‘Woman of Steel’ joins artists like 2Baba to bag a UN appointment. She is expected to drop her fifth album soon.
