A 21 year old suspect identified as Usman Danladi, has chopped off the wrist of a 25- year old man named Jibrin Abdullahi in Tudun Wada Area, Auta Balefi of Karu Local Government Area in Nasarawa. The identified suspect Usman has been arrested by the state police.
The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansen issued a statement on Sunday September 18, he said the arrest was an aftermath to the information on the attack which occurred on Friday.
As reported by the PPRO, the suspect who was arrested on Saturday, has admitted to committing the crime.
Upon interrogation, the suspect further alleged that the victim had earlier assaulted his girlfriend named (Aisha) before the fight started between them, in the process of the fight he attacked the victim with a machete.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Adeshina Soyemi has directed that the case be transferred to state Criminal Investigation Department,Lafia, for further investigation, after which the suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.
