Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the appointment of Ali Nuhu as Director General of the Nigerian Film Corporation.

According to PlatinumPost, President Bola Tinubu had on Friday approved the appointment of Kannywood actor as the new Chief Executive Officer of the corporation.

Nuhu’s appointment alongside 10 other new heads of agencies under the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy was announced on Friday by spokesperson to Tinubu, Ajuri Ngelale.

Reacting to the development in a post on his verified X handle on Saturday, Sani described the appointment as a square peg in a square hole. ”

“Ali Nuhu’s appointment as DG of the Nigerian Film Corporation is commendable.He is a square peg in a square hole.This is a diversion from the past where politicians are appointed into positions that should ideally be reserved for professionals.The nation hopes to benefit from his experience.Wish him well, ” the outspoken former senator and public affairs analyst, said.
