Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has recently criticized the nation’s youth for prioritizing trends and gossip over issues that significantly impact their future. In a social media post, he expressed concern that elders are increasingly becoming the “leaders of tomorrow” in Africa, highlighting a perceived lack of serious engagement among young people. 
This sentiment echoes previous remarks by President Muhammadu Buhari, who in 2018 described some Nigerian youth as “lazy” and “uneducated,” suggesting they expect free housing, healthcare, and education without effort.
