A Ghanaian singer, Effia Addo, aka Effs, has described Nigerian creatives as an immensely talented group of people.
According to her, that is why she wants to collaborate with a number of them, and establish her career in the country.
Speaking during a media parley in Lagos during the week, Effs, who is based in the United Kingdom, said;
“Some of my favourite Nigerian artistes, who I will like to collaborate with, are Davido, Adekunle Gold, Chike, Arrya Starr, and a couple of others.
Nigerians have been incredible when it comes to the arts in general. I also admire Don Jazzy, especially with the way he has evolved over the years.”
Recalling how she fell in love with music at a young age, she said; “I have always loved music.
I did not even know I was a talented songwriter; I just used to write songs, and I thought everybody could do that as well.
It was not until I grew older that I realised it was a gift. And, that was then I started taking songwriting more seriously.”
On why she spends so much money on her music videos, the singer, she said; “There are certain songs that I feel need videos for my fans and other listeners to properly get the messages behind. Also, a pretty face helps to sell songs, and that is another consideration.”
Speaking on her plans for the year, the sexy singer said;
“I am going to be visiting Nigeria more this year. Aside from my latest single titled, ‘I Like That’, I plan to release an Extended Play album as well.
I also intend to host a dance talent show. I am a woman of many parts too, so I will likely diversify into other areas of the entertainment industry.”
