EFCC Arrests 13 ‘Yahoo Boys’ In Kwara

The Ilorin zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 13 persons for alleged involvement in internet fraud and other crimes.

The suspects were said to have been arrested at different locations within Ilorin, the state capital, based on intelligence reports gathered by the the anti-graft agency.

The suspects are Babatunde Omiyale, Salau Olumide, Akinsanya Ridwan Olamide, Akinola Eniola, Bashir Abdulbasit, Jide Owolabi, Kolade Balogun, Salawu Oluwadamilare, Akinola Opeyemi, Adewumi Johnson, Abiola Adedeji and Salawu Victor.

It was gathered that the suspects have confessed committing the crime, as incriminating documents were allegedly retrieved from the mobile phones and laptop computers recovered from them.

An EFCC source said the suspects would soon be charged to court.
