FG to Disburse N25,000 to 15 Million Households

The Federal Ministry of Finance has launched a ₦25,000 cash transfer program targeting 15 million of Nigeria’s most vulnerable households under the National Social Safety Net Project Scale Up (NASSP–SU).

In a statement shared on its official X account on Saturday, September 27, 2025, the ministry revealed that the payments will be distributed in three instalments.

To date, 8.1 million households—54% of the target—have received funds, with 2.2 million additional households benefiting between June and August 2025.

The program prioritizes female-led households, with beneficiaries spanning all regions of Nigeria.

While privacy laws prevent the release of individual names, the ministry provided aggregated data detailing the distribution by region, gender, and age group.

“The direct benefit transfers are real, and millions of Nigerian households are benefitting,” the statement affirmed.
