The Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, on Friday night convened an emergency meeting with members of his cabinet and key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to review the state’s political direction.
Sources present at the meeting said deliberations focused on the current political climate and strategies for future engagements, with stakeholders reportedly advising the governor to consider defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to reposition the state politically.
