Veteran actress and pastor,, Obot Etuk, has warned people to desist from downplaying their parent’s efforts when giving a victory speech.
In a post shared on her IG page, Ms. Etuk stressed that people should never seize the opportunity to embarrass the effort of their parents by saying they came from nothing.
According to her, most parents gave their children what they could afford, so they should be praised.
She Wrote:
”In your victory speech ladies and gentlemen, never embarrass the effort of your parents by saying you came from nothing. Whatever you had then was what they could afford. And they gave it to you with love.
Make them feel better by praising them.
Remember,we reap what we sow.”
