The Emir of Bichi, Aminu Ado Bayero has been announced as the new Emir of Kano, few hours after Muhammadu Sanusi II was dethroned as the Emir.
The announcement was made by the Secretary to the State Government, Usman Alhaji.
According to the SSG, the appointment takes immediate effect.
