Kano state has recorded five new coronavirus deaths.
The state Ministry of Health disclosed this on its twitter handle on Saturday morning, May 9.
This brings the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Kano state to 18.
Three more COVID-19 patients have been discharged in the state on Friday May 7 while 65 new cases were recorded. The state currently has 507 active cases of the viral disease.
