Colonel BT Vandi, a retired officer of the Nigerian Army, was discovered lifeless at the Defence Academy base camp on Vom Road, Jos.
The retired colonel was found unresponsive in his room by an attendant at approximately 3:20 PM on July 17, just a few hours after he had checked in the previous day.
Sources indicate that Col Vandi checked into the camp’s guest room on July 16 and was found lifeless on July 17. According to further reports, his body is set to be transported to the 3 Division Military Hospital in Jos for an autopsy and further investigation.
This development has raised concerns within the military community as investigations continue to uncover the circumstances surrounding Col Vandi’s death.
