An Elder Statesman, Edwin Clark has stated that there will be no Nigeria unless they go back to the 1963 constitution.
He references claims of “first-class citizenship” and “anti-restructuring”, and advocates for a federal system of government like the one used in 1963, with four regions each having their constitution and flag.
Edwin Clark said this while speaking in an interview on Channels TV.
He said, “We should go back to the 1963 constitution, unless we go back there, there will be no Nigeria. Because the British haven’t gone, they are now replacing their fellow Nigerians as their boss whereas some people are now claiming first-class citizenship or otherwise. The very people who said that they don’t want independence for Nigeria because they have not reached that standard.
Now, some of them are claiming that we are anti-restructuring. Restructuring means that we should return to the federal system of government as it was in 1963 where you have four regions. Those four regions have their constitution. Those four regions have their flag”.
