A non-governmental organisation, the Christian Conscience group, has urged Nigerians to get their Permanent Voter Cards and vote for candidates that have the fear of God in the 2023 elections.
The group made its position known, according to a statement jointly signed by its chairperson, Dr Yetunde Akinluyi and the General Secretary, Rev. Kolawole Verrals, on Thursday, at a meeting held in Ikeja.
The statement partly read; “As the nation goes into the 2023 general elections, Nigerians have been enjoined to engage in ceaseless prayers, good conduct, and a God-fearing approach toward the success of the exercise.
We once again admonish Nigerians to get their PVCs to vote for candidates of their choice that will have the fear of God and be eager to serve the interest of the populace.
Despite many challenges in the nation such as insecurity and other vices, God has always manifested himself in the affairs of the nation and he will continue to sustain the nation through ceaseless prayers.
We admonish Nigerians to pray without ceasing to have hitch-free and successful elections.”
