PRESIDENCY: Tinubu convenes FEC Meeting, set to Swear in new ministers

President Bola Tinubu has scheduled a meeting of the Federal Executive Council for Monday (today) at the State House in Abuja.

According to reports, he will use the opportunity of the meeting to swear in three more Ministers cleared by the Senate.

These moves were reportedly revealed to the media by a senior official in the Presidency who did not want his name mentioned because he was not authorised to speak on it.

The revelation was made a few days after the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the February 25, 2023 poll, Atiku Abubakar, accused Tinubu of failure to convene FEC meetings.

The former Vice President spoke through his Special Adviser on Public Communications, Phrank Shaibu.

There has been no FEC meeting since the inaugural one on August 28, 2023, with Tinubu having sworn in the first set of 45 Ministers on August 21, 2023.

The three additional ministers to be sworn in today are Jamila Bio, Ayodele Olawande and Balarabe Lawal.
