Barcelona’s youngster, Ansu Fati is 18 today.
The player has broken a number of records and has already entered the club’s history, as well as LaLiga Santander’s, the Champions League’s and the Spanish national team’s. In just 14 months he has achieved a countless number of goals.
Since debuting on August 25, 2019 against Real Betis under Ernesto Valverde, in which he played just 13 minutes, he’s gone on to develop and grow into an important player.
Now, Ronald Koeman has seen what he can bring to the side and has a lot of trust in the teenager, allowing him to play enough to be one of LaLiga Santander’s top scorers in 2020/21 so far.
He has become the youngest player to score with Barcelona in LaLiga Santander (16 years and 304 days old), the youngest debutant in the Champions League for Barcelona (16 years and 321 days old) and the youngest scorer in the competition (17 years and 40 days old). He is also Spain’s youngest ever scorer, netting at 17 years and 311 days old against Ukraine.
Ansu Fati is one of the most promising players in Spanish football. His contract ends in 2022 and he has a release clause of 400 million euros.
A number of clubs tested the waters last summer, expressing interest in signing him. But Ansu is seen as untouchable at the Camp Nou.
