Manchester City registered an incredible attacking statistic against Crystal Palace on Saturday – but lacked the clinical touch to make it count in a surprise draw.
Starting the match without Erling Haaland, there were question marks over how City’s attack would cope.
Jack Grealish’s goal was the difference at the half-time break after an assist from Phil Foden, but the England international was not the only one to carve out a chance against the Eagles.
In fact, every outfield player for City managed to create a chance in the opening 45 minutes as the Premier League champions dominated the early proceedings at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
It is the first time on record that all ten outfield players have done so in the first-half of a Premier League match.
While City might have been at their creative best this afternoon, they were lacking that killer touch in the box – and it was costly, with Palace staging a late comeback to rescue a draw.
It is the exact kind of display that Haaland would no doubt have been lapping up had he been fit for the contest.
But the Norway international is currently sidelined with a mysterious injury with Pep Guardiola admitting he is not sure when he will be back.
The Catalan coach said: “Hopefully he can travel to Saudi [for the Club World Cup], whether he can play the first game or the second, I don’t know.
