“Tory fired the shots from within the vehicle while Megan was outside trying to leave,” a source us Page Six. “There is video and the police are investigating. This is a case of a man physically harming and abusing a woman.”
As for the video, a spokesperson for LAPD confirmed that no video “would be released until the case goes to court in order to protect the integrity of the case.”
“The detectives are seeking information regarding the shooting involving Daystar Peterson, and the investigation is still ongoing. I’m not privilege to what the detectives have right now,” the spokesperson added.
An initial report said shots were fired in the air from an SUV that later speed off. But when police responded to reports of gunfire in the area, they stopped the SUV, which was being driven by Tory Lanez with Megan and her best friend Kelsey Nicole in the car.
The officers arrested the Canadian rapper for carrying a concealed weapon. He was later released after posting $35,000 bail and will appear in court on Oct. 13.
Three days after the incident, Megan issued a statement, in which she revealed that she suffered gunshot wounds and was rushed to the hospital where she underwent surgery to remove the bullets, contradicting initial reports that she had cut her foot due to broken glass in the car.
