Arsenal and Manchester City head into the final Matchday of the Premier League season with ambitions of winning the title.
Both play home games against Everton and West Ham respectively and both are overwhelming favourites to win their games.
For Arsenal, however, it is not in their hands, a win for Manchester City will make the Cityzens Champions for a fourth season in a row.
City who currently occupy first position in the League have 88 points while Arsenal have 86 points.
Arsenal do have a superior goal difference of +61 to Man City’s +60.
There are a number of Scenarios which can make Arsenal win the league.
If Man City fail to win, Arsenal will be Champions if they win their own game by any scoreline.
For instance, if Man City failed to win West Ham, say a draw, they would be on 89 points. A win for Arsenal would also take them to 89 points. But with City being unable to increase their goal difference as a result of the draw, Arsenal will win the title on goal difference.
Same applies if City lose and Arsenal win.
However, if Manchester City lost at home and Arsenal failed to beat Everton (lose or draw), Manchester City will take the trophy.
Both teams know they need wins. Arsenal to give themselves a chance, and Man City to win it.
